NPFL: Sunshine Stars Face El-Kanemi Warriors as Abubakar Debuts as Technical Adviser

Bala Abubakar, a seasoned tactician, will begin his tenure as the Sunshine Stars’ technical adviser in a pivotal NPFL clash against El-Kanemi Warriors on Sunday. Appointed last week, Abubakar brings his extensive experience from managing Kwara United and Doma United to the struggling Owena Waves.

The matchday 18 fixture, set to take place at the Remo Stars Stadium, holds high stakes for Sunshine Stars, who currently sit in 18th place on the NPFL table with just 18 points. The team has struggled this season, registering five wins, three draws, and nine defeats across 17 matches.

Having conducted his first training session with the team on Friday, Abubakar is eager to turn the tide for Sunshine Stars. The young coach faces a challenging task to improve their form and lift them from the relegation zone. The clash against El-Kanemi Warriors presents a crucial opportunity to begin the turnaround.

Fans are hopeful that Abubakar’s expertise and tactical prowess will rejuvenate the Owena Waves, who are desperate for a victory to regain momentum in the Nigeria Premier Football League. This fixture is not just another game; it marks the beginning of a new chapter for Sunshine Stars under Abubakar’s guidance.

As the spotlight shines on this encounter, all eyes will be on the Remo Stars Stadium to see if the new coach can lead his team to a much-needed win and breathe life into their season. The NPFL clash promises to be an intense battle as Sunshine Stars fight to climb up the standings.
