Kylian Mbappe fulfilled his childhood dream today at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he was officially presented as a Real Madrid player, marking a significant moment in his career.
The highly anticipated unveiling came after Kylian Mbappe’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired, solidifying his move to the Spanish club on 1st July. Florentino Perez, Real Madrid’s president, proudly introduced Mbappe to a thrilled audience, including his parents, Wilfried Mbappe and Fayza Lamari, who were present at the ceremony.
“I’ve spent countless nights dreaming of playing for Real Madrid, and today, I am overjoyed,” Mbappe expressed in Spanish during his address to the fans, visibly moved by the occasion. “I am deeply grateful to the president for his unwavering belief in me amidst the challenges we’ve faced. This moment means the world to me.”
Acknowledging the efforts made on his behalf, Mbappe continued, “I am immensely grateful to everyone who has worked tirelessly to make this day possible. My family shares in this happiness; seeing my mother moved to tears fills my heart with joy.”
Reflecting on the significance of the moment, he added, “Today is an incredible day for me. Since childhood, I’ve dreamed of wearing this jersey and living up to the legacy of this club. I pledge to give my absolute best on the field, honoring the history and tradition of Real Madrid.”
Mbappe concluded his speech by inviting the fans to join him in chanting “Hala Madrid,” a gesture reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo’s introduction to the club. The event also saw Mbappe warmly welcomed by former Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, who first brought him to the club in 2012.
Real Madrid’s pursuit of Mbappe, renowned as one of the world’s top talents, was met with patience and determination. Despite previous attempts to secure his signature, the club finally succeeded following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
