Julian Alvarez opened the scoring in the first half, with Messi doubling the advantage just five minutes after the break.

This goal marks Messi’s 14th career goal in the Copa America tournament.

La Albiceleste has now secured their second consecutive final appearance, having also reached the final in the 2021 edition.

Argentina is now on the brink of winning their 16th Copa América title, potentially surpassing Uruguay for the most titles in the tournament’s history.

Uruguay and Colombia will face off in the second semi-final today.
