CAF Women’s Champions League Best XI: Miracle Usani Shines for Edo Queens

Miracle Usani, Edo Queens’ defender, has earned a spot in the CAF Women’s Champions League Best XI for 2024. This remarkable achievement highlights her exceptional performance throughout the prestigious tournament.

The talented right-back, Usani, stood out as the only representative from Edo Queens to make the selection. Her consistent presence in all five of the club’s matches showcased her determination and skill. Despite their impressive efforts, the Nigerian champions finished in fourth place after a dramatic penalty shootout loss, 4-3, in the third-place match last Saturday.

The Best XI also features four players from debutants FC Masar, four from the champions TP Mazembe, and two from the runners-up, AS FAR. This selection celebrates the finest talents from this year’s tournament, reflecting a mix of seasoned and emerging stars.

For Edo Queens, Usani’s recognition is a testament to the team’s hard work and a bright future ahead. The club’s journey in the CAF Women’s Champions League debut may not have ended with a podium finish, but their progress and performances have earned them significant respect on the continental stage.

Usani’s inclusion in the CAF Women’s Champions League Best XI underscores her impact in advancing Nigerian football and inspiring the next generation of female players. As she continues to excel, fans will eagerly anticipate her contributions in future competitions.
